Sorry to interrupt your Friday evening but I wanted to provide an update from today. Apparently much was discussed at yesterday’s meeting between OMIG and OASAS and OMH but little was decided. Topics included auto-populating and adjustment of claims. OMIG is currently researching the first issue (but has acknowledged they now believe this was happening to some extent) and still discussing the adjustment issue, particularly for those under audit. At least one representative from OMIG opined this should be allowed but the others indicated it required additional internal discussion.

I was also informed that OMIG will entertain further extension on responses to the existing Draft Reports. Laura informed me she is aware of one provider getting an additional 30 days. I am aware of another provider requesting an unspecified extension and they received a response that their request is pending.

I suggest we wait until Monday to see how that comes back and then advise your members to request a further extension.
