As promised, please see the transmittal note (below) and the attached document that was just sent to Erin Ives, New York’s acting Medicaid Inspector General..  I included a  ‘bcc’ to leads at OMH and OASAS.
We will continue to discuss this matter on our Thursday morning NYS Council Provider Support & Public Policy calls.  Many (many) thanks to Bob Hussar for his assistance with this letter!

Subject: Letter regarding OMIG OPRA Audits

Good afternoon:

Please see the letter (attached) from a broad group of NYS membership association leaders representing OMH and OASAS mental health and substance use disorder outpatient clinic providers and the New Yorkers they serve each day.

We are deeply concerned about the recent OMIG audits focused on Ordering, Prescribing, Referring and Attending (OPRA) claims dating back to 2015.  We respectfully request a meeting with you and your staff at your earliest convenience so we can discuss this issue in greater detail.
Many thanks for your attention to this time sensitive matter.
