Implementation of NY Medicaid Statewide Formulary for Opioid Dependence Agents

The final State Budget enacted in early April 2020, established a Statewide Formulary for opioid dependence agents and opioid antagonists.  The formulary will be published by NYSDOH and shall include “preferred drugs” in these classes with no prior authorization required.

NYSDOH recently provided an update on their efforts to implement the statewide formulary.  In the screenshots below, please find a draft of the formulary (please excuse the quality).  NYSDOH stated its goal to implement the new formulary effective November 1, 2020.
