SUMMARY:SAMHSA Pre-Application Webinar for Community Crisis Response Partnerships
DESCRIPTION:The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)\, Center for Mental Health\nServices(CMHS)\, is announcing a webinar for prospective applicants interested in applying for fiscal year\n2022 Cooperative Agreements for Innovative Community Crisis Response Partnerships program (Short\nTitle: Community Crisis Response Partnerships). \nThe purpose of this program is to create or enhance existing mobile crisis response teams to divert\nadults\, children\, and youth experiencing mental health crises from law enforcement in high need\ncommunity(ies). This program recognizes a high-need community as a community where mobile crisis\nservices are absent or inconsistent\, where most mental health crises are responded to by first\nresponders\, and/or where first responders are not adequately trained or equipped to diffuse mental\nhealth crises. Award recipients will be expected to utilize SAMHSA’s National Guidelines for Behavioral\nHealth Crisis Care: Best Practice Toolkit as a guide for best practices in the delivery of mobile crisis\nservices. \nNote: Registration is not required. \nADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The NOFO and the Best Practice Toolkit are available on the SAMHSA\nwebsite at:\nhttps://www.samhsa.gov/grants/grant-announcements/sm-22-016\nhttps://www.samhsa.gov/sites/default/files/national-guidelines-for-behavioral-health-crisis-care02242020.pdf \nApplicants with programmatic questions should contact SOC/CMHS staff via e-mail at\nWalker.Tisdale@samhsa.hhs.gov and for budget and grants management questions contact\nFOACMHS@samhsa.hhs.gov
