SUMMARY:Reissuance of the Intensive Crisis Stabilization Center RFP Webinar
DESCRIPTION:The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) and Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the development of twelve (12) Intensive Crisis Stabilization Centers in January 2022. The original proposal was for the development of three (3) Intensive Crisis Stabilization Centers in the New York City Economic Development Region\, and nine (9) Intensive Crisis Stabilization Centers outside of New York City\, one (1) in each of the remaining Economic Development Regions. In July 2022\, a total of nine (9) providers were awarded. \nThe Offices will reissue this RFP for the remaining uncovered regions\, including two (2) Centers in the New York City Economic Development Region and one (1) Center in the Capital Region Economic Development Region. \nThe New York City Economic Development Region is comprised of the following counties: Bronx\, Kings\, New York\, Richmond\, and Queens. The Capital Region Economic Development Region is comprised of the following counties: Albany\, Columbia\, Greene\, Saratoga\, Schenectady\, Rensselaer\, Warren\, and Washington. \nIn preparation for this reissuance\, the Offices will host a forum to discuss potential barriers\, address questions\, and hear feedback from providers who may be interested in applying for the re-issued RFP in either the New York City or Capital Region Economic Development Regions. \nEligible agencies include those who operate Peer-led organizations. Eligible applicants are not-for-profit agencies with 501(c) (3) incorporation or Public Benefit Corporations\, who are licensed\, certified\, or otherwise authorized by OMH\, OASAS\, or the NYS Department of Health\, that have experience providing mental health and substance use treatment services to persons with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders. \nAll Crisis Stabilization Centers will be jointly certified by NYS OMH and OASAS under Part 600 Regulations.  Crisis Stabilization Centers are developed in collaboration with the communities they serve\, including Local Mental Hygiene Directors\, schools\, community providers\, law enforcement agencies\, and other identified programs\, to provide a comprehensive continuum of care for referrals and follow-up. \nThe forum will take place on Tuesday\, November 1 from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM.
