SUMMARY:OMH Community Engagement Feedback Sessions
DESCRIPTION:Governor Hochul’s 2023 State of the State plan and Fiscal Year 2024 Executive Budget include historic proposals and resources that will allow the Office of Mental Health (OMH) to expand\, strengthen\, and revitalize the State’s mental healthcare system. Your input will be integral in OMH’s planning process for this expansion. \nIn the months ahead\, we will be developing new programs and policies that will greatly expand access to housing\, outpatient\, school-based clinics\, and hospital services\, and increase insurance coverage for mental health services. \nTo ensure we make the most of this unprecedented opportunity\, OMH is seeking input from valued partners\, providers\, advocates\, people and families that receive services\, community leaders\, and community members. We encourage service providers to share this announcement with the people and families they serve and assist with registration if needed. \nWe will be hosting a series of virtual and in-person community engagement feedback sessions to gain insight from your experiences and knowledge. Your feedback will help us determine how to best implement new programming and use new resources to enhance the mental health system\, increase access to mental health services\, and eliminate service gaps and promote equity in access for all New Yorkers\, while fortifying the continuum of care. \nOMH leadership will provide an overview of the planning initiatives and then we will break into groups for focused discussion. Today we are announcing four virtual sessions and the in-person sessions across the state will be announced soon. Additional virtual sessions will be added if needed. \nPlease see the details below and register for the date and time that works for you. \n\nTuesday\, February 21\, 2023\, 10:00AM – 12:00PM\n\nRegister here: https://meetny.webex.com/weblink/register/re705c294f3c5f9be9c07b0972b6d8445 \n\nThursday\, February 23\, 2023\, 6:00PM – 8:00PM\n\nRegister here: https://meetny.webex.com/weblink/register/rab78aa59f9a8703d4b4504d2f2ecb799 \n\nThursday\, March 2\, 2023\, 1:00PM – 3:00PM\n\nRegister here: https://meetny.webex.com/weblink/register/r8ee9b476f42cd9d51959f8c71a9be2c6 \n\nTuesday\, March 7\, 2023\, 6:00PM – 8:00PM\n\nRegister here: https://meetny.webex.com/weblink/register/rd10c5be3192b559e046ae988296858e8 \nIf you have any questions\, please contact the OMH Office of Planning at Planning@omh.ny.gov.
