SUMMARY:OMIG Healthcare Provider Engagement Forums - Albany
DESCRIPTION:The Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG) announced today it will host provider engagement forums in Albany\, Rochester and New York City seeking input from the healthcare provider community regarding OMIG’s efforts to prevent and detect fraud\, waste\, and abuse in the State’s Medicaid program and recover improperly expended funds.\nEach session will include opening remarks by Acting Medicaid Inspector General Frank T. Walsh\, Jr. followed by Deputy Medicaid Inspector General for Audit Jay Speers\, who will provide a brief overview of OMIG’s audit processes and procedures. The remainder of each forum will be devoted to soliciting input and recommendations from the provider community related to OMIG’s program integrity efforts. \nIn-person attendance at each session is available on a first-registered\, first-served basis\, as seating is limited.
