SUMMARY:OMH\, OASAS\, and NYS Education Department Office of Professions Joint Presentation on Diagnostic Privileges FAQs
DESCRIPTION:Since the sunset of the Social Work Exemption in June 2022\, OMH and OASAS have worked to clarify the roles and activities professionals of various disciplines can perform in their settings. OMH and OASAS have collaborated with NYSED Office of Professions to present an overview of diagnostic privileges for licensed mental health counselors (LMHCs)\, licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and licensed psychoanalyst employed in OMH and OASAS programs. \nThis presentation will provide and overview of diagnostic privileges and will focus on OMH and/or OASAS providers only. Private practices and/or other service settings will not be covered in this presentation.
