SUMMARY:2024 Justice Center Summit
DESCRIPTION:April 16 – 17 and 23 – 24 \n2024 Justice Center Summit \nThe Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs (Justice Center) announces it will be hosting the Justice Center Summit in April 2024. The event features several individual sessions covering policy updates\, trends\, and prevention materials. In addition\, in-depth sessions on a variety of Justice Center programs will be available. The event is targeted for provider agencies under the jurisdiction of the Justice Center\, individuals receiving services\, families\, peer advocates and other interested stakeholders. \nClick here for a summary of the session topics. \nThis summit will be conducted over four dates in April\, 2024. There are two sessions per day and each session will last approximately 1.5 hours. You may register for one or all of the sessions. There is no charge to attend. \n  \nTuesday\, April 16 \nSession 1 – 10:30 am: Lifecycle of a Justice Center Case \nSession 2 – 2:30 pm: Reporting Incidents to the Justice Center \n  \nWednesday\, April 17 \nSession 3 – 10:30 am: Overview of Pre-Employment Checks for Service Providers \nSession 4 – 2:30 pm: Updates from the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs \n  \nTuesday\, April 23 \nSession 5 – 10:30 am: Overview of the Justice Center’s Individual and Family Support Services \nSession 6 – 2:30 pm: Overview of the Surrogate Decision-Making Committee (SDMC) \n  \nWednesday\, April 24 \nSession 7 – 10:30 am: Justice Center Spotlight on Prevention: Best Practices for Effective Medical Care \nSession 8 – 2:30 pm: Technology Related Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities (TRAID) \n  \nClick here to sign up for individual sessions or all 8 sessions.
