DESCRIPTION:As we mentioned last week\, OASAS recently hosted two identical Webinars – one for advocates/association leads\, and the other for OASAS providers\, sharing high level information regarding the new OASAS Addiction Funding Restructuring Initiative. \nDuring the Webinar\, OASAS revealed that over the summer it engaged Third Horizon Strategies (THS) to assist the Office with this 5 year endeavor. \nOn November 13\, from 2-3 pm\, the National Council for Mental Wellbeing will host a webinar with Eric Bailly\, Senior Director at Third Horizon Strategies\, as a featured presenter. \nThe webinar will explore value-based payment (VBP) use for substance use disorder (SUD) services and will feature additional speakers from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS)\, along with national experts in the behavioral health field.
