Earlier this week members of the NYS Legislature held a joint press conference calling on leaders in Washington to stop some $13 billion in proposed cuts (to NYS) that will put 1.5 million New Yorkers at risk of losing Medicaid and devastate New York’s healthcare system, and our safety net.

Also, attached please find information re: current OASAS and OMH overseen programs and services and the impact of potential Medicaid cuts (described above) on NY Republican congressional districts.  This information should assist you with ongoing targeted advocacy designed to pressure the Republican members of the NYS delegation to oppose the megabill if it comes back from the Senate with the majority of the proposed cuts intact.
