Relates to accessing substance use disorder services based on the individual’s gender identity or expression and preference.
S7492-B Stavisky/ A6697-B Fahy – Signed into Law on June 22, 2023
This bill would authorize out-of-state registered or practical nurses and physicians practicing in NY as of 5/22/23 under Executive Order 4 of 2021 to temporarily practice in New York State pending a determination on licensure by SED by filing an application and obtaining endorsement of the health facility, program or practice they are employed by.

Repeals the redundant new double filing requirement for 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.
S.1957-A/A.5719-A – Signed into Law on March 29, 2021
Expands access to Veterans Treatment Courts across New York State, allowing qualifying justice-involved veterans in counties that lack a Veterans Treatment Court to have their cases transferred into an existing Veterans Treatment Court in a neighboring county.
