FYI – just rec’d from OASAS below and attached (2 docs)
Good afternoon,
OASAS is pursuing the use of the Opioid Stewardship Fund to address the costs of under or uninsured patient care within the addiction treatment system. This opportunity is directed to treatment providers specifically based on the funding source and allowable use of funds. I wanted you all to be aware and to understand the purpose as your membership may have questions. There is a process underway to determine eligibility and obtain interest from clinic treatment service providers (Part 822) and bedded program providers(Part 816, 818, and 820).
Eligible programs were identified based on a set of criteria and have or will be sent a survey to solicit interest in receiving funding. All providers who respond in the affirmative to accept funding will receive an amount each year for the next two years.
The 822 programs were surveyed at the end of July and award letters are likely to go out within the next week. We are preparing to send the survey to the 816, 818, and 820 providers tomorrow. Attached are the two correspondence that have or will accompany this outreach.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out by phone or email.
Thank you,
Connie
