Dear Providers,
The anticipated amendments to 14 NYCRR Part 822, General Service Standards for Substance Use Disorder Outpatient Programs, are published in the State Register with an effective date of today, January 27th, 2021.
However, after much stakeholder discussion, OASAS has determined that the date, and implementation of the regulation, will be delayed until August 2, 2021. This will allow OASAS staff and providers to have additional discussion about the regulatory changes as well as allow time for any needed electronic medical record updates.
Posted on the website are the currently effective Part 822 regulation, effective until August 1, 2021 as well as the amended Part 822 regulation, which is effective on August 2, 2021.
