ACTION ALERT re: Clinical Practice Exemption

June 2, 2021

The Assembly bill to extend the current exemption of our workforce from clinical practice licensing requirements until June 24, 2022 just passed the Assembly.  This is great news and we are grateful to Assemblyman Harry Bronson and his fellow lawmakers for moving the bill across the finish line!

There is work still to be done to ensure the Senate passes its’ version of the bill, S6431 supported by Senators Brouk,  Harckham and others.

IF YOU ARE A CONSTITUENT RESIDING IN A DISTRICT REPRESENTED BY SENATE MAJORITY LEADER ANDREA STEWART COUSINS, SENATE DEPUTY MAJORITY LEADER MIKE GIANARIS, OR SENATE HIGHER EDUCATION CHAIR TOBY STAVISKY, PLEASE CALL THEM NOW AND EXPLAIN WHY THE EXTENSION OF THE EXEMPTION IS SO IMPORTANT TO YOUR ORGANIZATION to preserve your workforce and to ensure the individuals you serve can access care and be assured of continuity of care.

The time is now.  Let’s get this done!
