Lawmakers have returned to Albany after a week in their home districts during the February break and the fight to ensure our budget priorities are included in the soon-to-be-released Assembly and Senate one house budget bills continues.  We cannot let up!  

Please take two minutes to send letters to your lawmaker using the NYS Council’s Advocacy Center:  https://nyscouncil.org/advocacy-action-center/  Send a letter to your Assembly and Senate representatives TODAY —  It’s fast and easy!  

To date our advocacy efforts have resulted in thousands of letters being sent to lawmakers across the state, but as time marches on and budget negotiations intensify, we must increase our efforts – this is no time to take our foot off the gas!

Please ask lawmakers to ensure their one house budget bills include the Part AA HMH executive budget proposal that would mandate commercial insurers pay on par with Medicaid rates for commercial services.  We also need to keep the pressure on for OMIG Audit Reform AND a 3.2% Human Services COLA plus $500M for mental health and addiction agencies in recognition of the many years the former Administration failed to provide a COLA.
