Medicaid State Plan Children and Family Treatment and Support Services (CFTSS) A Listserv for Provider Agencies Designated to Serve the General Mental Health Population To: CMHRS Programs and Agencies Seeking Licensure via 14 NYCRR 511-2 Children’s Mental Health Rehabilitative Services (CMHRS) Program to Serve the General Mental Health Population Re: Children’s Mental Health Rehabilitative Services (CMHRS) Program: Commissioner Waiver – EXTENSION Date: July 13, 2024 (effective date) Hello, The existing Commissioner Waiver has been extended (see attached) waiving Part 511-2.5 (c)(1-3) of the 14 NYCRR 511-2 Children’s Mental Health Rehabilitative Services (CMHRS) Program regulation. This waiver will release the expectation for ensuring full access to Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Family Peer Support, and Youth Peer Support by either direct provision by the CMHRS program provider agency or by agreement with a designated provider. It will enable CMHRS programs to continue with existing regulatory flexibilities while permitting OMH to finalize regulatory changes. This waiver applies to all OMH-licensed CMHRS programs and is extended until the Part 511-2 regulation has been updated.
