Message from our attorney Robert Hussar below re: OMIG OPRA negotiations between state agencies/regulators:

DOH, OMIG, OMH and OASAS continue to meet and, by all accounts, have productive discussions and move toward some collective (although at the moment undisclosed) agreement on how to proceed.  The goal, although not a commitment, is to address both the current audit as well as avoid the release of the remaining audits for OMH and OASAS providers. I’m told we might see collective guidance over the next 2-3 weeks.

In the meantime,  OMIG is willing to entertain additional extensions to respond so I highly recommend your members that are currently under audit request an additional 1 month extension asap.

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide additional info as it becomes available.
