The Governor announced amendments to his proposal yesterday. He was able to make changes as result of the 30-day (executive budget) amendments process in which the Executive is permitted to make changes to the original executive proposal. Although this process is usually reserved for making technical changes to the proposal, the Governor used the process to substantively change his original proposal that was embedded in his January budget release.
