Please see (attached) the comments we prepared (with help from the Legal Action Center) for DFS in response to its latest draft DFS Network Adequacy standards posted in the 11/20/24 NYS Register. The opportunity to comment closes today. In November we notified all members of the opportunity to comment, and we had a brief discussion with NYS Council member agency reps that participate in various NYS Council Workgroups.

Good morning,
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on the latest version of DFS draft Network Adequacy Standards discussed in the 11/20/24 DFS entry in the New York State Register. Please see our latest version of NYS Council comments (attached).
The NYS Council appreciates the opportunity to share our expertise based on the many decades of experience our members have working with New Yorkers in search of care. We look forward to swift implementation and we welcome any opportunity to work with the Department to ensure the individuals we serve get the services they need in a timely manner and without having to travel long distances or conducting an extensive search to find a provider in their local community who will serve them.
Many thanks.
Lauri Cole
