Dear MRT Listserv Subscriber, 

On January 9, 2024 the Office of Health Insurance Programs (OHIP) announced the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approval of the New York Health Equity Reform (NYHER) section 1115(a) demonstration waiver amendment. The waiver amendment will allow the State to advance health equity, reduce health disparities, support the delivery of health-related social needs (HRSN) services, and promote workforce development.

To provide an overview of the NYHER waiver amendment, OHIP will be posting an educational webinar for stakeholders. This webinar will outline the key initiatives included within the waiver amendment. This webinar recording  will be shared here, via the MRT Listserv, and posted to the New York 1115 Medicaid Waiver Information webpage on Monday, February 12, 2024.

This educational webinar will  make an effort to address specific stakeholder questions. If you would like to submit a question regarding the NYHER 1115(a) waiver amendment, please do so by emailing NYHER@health.ny.gov no later than 5:00 PM Tuesday, February 6, 2024.
