2024 Justice Center Summit

The Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs (Justice Center) announces it will be hosting the Justice Center Summit in April 2024. The event features several individual sessions covering policy updates, trends, and prevention materials. In addition, in-depth sessions on a variety of Justice Center programs will be available. The event is targeted for provider agencies under the jurisdiction of the Justice Center, individuals receiving services, families, peer advocates and other interested stakeholders.

This summit will be conducted over four dates in April, 2024. There are two sessions per day and each session will last approximately 1.5 hours. You may register for one or all of the sessions. There is no charge to attend.

 

Tuesday, April 16

Session 1 – 10:30 am: Lifecycle of a Justice Center Case

Session 2 – 2:30 pm: Reporting Incidents to the Justice Center

 

Wednesday, April 17

Session 3 – 10:30 am: Overview of Pre-Employment Checks for Service Providers

Session 4 – 2:30 pm: Updates from the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs

 

Tuesday, April 23

Session 5 – 10:30 am: Overview of the Justice Center’s Individual and Family Support Services

Session 6 – 2:30 pm: Overview of the Surrogate Decision-Making Committee (SDMC)

 

Wednesday, April 24

Session 7 – 10:30 am: Justice Center Spotlight on Prevention: Best Practices for Effective Medical Care

Session 8 – 2:30 pm: Technology Related Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities (TRAID)
