Introduction to Evidence-Based Practices for CFTSS Providers Webinar
June 6, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
The NYS Office of Mental Health, Department of Health, Office of Addiction Services and Supports, and Office of Children and Family Services are excited to announce a new project for the inclusion of Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) within Children and Family Treatment and Supports Services (CTFSS) programs through the Center for Workforce Excellence (CWE), operated by the NYU McSilver Institute for Poverty Policy and Research, which hosts CTAC, MCTAC, and PeerTAC.
An integral design element of CFTSS is the allowance for state-endorsed Evidence-Based Practices for specific interventions and services. NYS is excited to announce the introduction of select EBPs for implementation under Other Licensed Practitioner (OLP) and Community Psychiatric Supports and Treatment (CPST) within CFTSS. The goal is to offer high quality, short-term treatment options to children, youth, and families to improve outcomes, reduce length of stay, and enhance practitioner competencies.
Four webinars will be hosted to introduce the initiative (details and registration below):
- Introduction to Evidence-Based Practices for CFTSS Providers: June 6th at 2pm
- Functional Family Therapy (FFT): June 14th at 9:30am
- Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT): June 14th at 11am
- Application Office Hours: June 22nd at 12pm
The introductory webinar will be held on June 6th at 2pm. The purpose of this webinar for designated CFTSS providers offering CPST and OLP services is to learn more about new EBPs for children and families offered through CWE.
The webinar will address the overall goals of the project, timeline of the no-cost training, provider eligibility to participate, and enhanced Medicaid rates to deliver these services.
