New Restrictions on Providing Federal Public Benefits to Noncitizens: Immediate Impacts for Behavioral Health Providers

August 20 at 3 p.m. ET

In July, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued a notice reinterpreting “Federal public benefit” and including many behavioral health programs as meeting the new, broader definition.

Programs funded under Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics, Community Mental Health Services Block Grants, and Substance Use Prevention, Treatment and Recovery Services Block Grants, including certain programs administered by SAMHSA, are now subject to the reinterpretation.

  • What does this change mean for your organization?
  • What is the nonprofit exemption?
  • Who can receive services?
  • What other programs do you operate that now fall under the revised definition?
  • What do you need to do differently now and in the future?
  • Has anything changed since the notice was issued?

Join Feldesman attorneys, including an immigration attorney, next Wednesday, August 20 at 3 p.m. ET, for an industry update webinar to explain the change, review developments and answer your questions.
