FEDERAL ADVOCACY
Please see the attached documents from the National Council with talking points and factsheets related to ongoing Budget Reconciliation negotiations in Washington. The factsheets are on provider taxes, Medicaid work requirements, cost sharing, and the importance of Medicaid. Please use these in any outreach and advocacy you conduct. Note: Both the Senate and the House are out of office today but will be back in DC on Monday.
Before days end the NYS Council will post a template letter on our website in our Legislative Advocacy Center at: www.nyscouncil.org that you can use to send to targeted lawmakers in the Congressional delegation first thing Monday morning. We make it easy!
We must significantly turn up the volume beginning first thing Monday morning and for the remainder for the month up until the July 4 holiday. The Senate is still hoping to pass its own Reconciliation bill by this date, and then the next move is for the two houses to reconcile the differences.
