Earlier today one of our eagle eye members pointed out that the FCC Grant application we sent you yesterday (second round of FCC funding going out to healthcare providers via the CARES ACT federal initiative) seems to leave out substance use disorder providers from the list of eligible types of organizations. I immediately called Chuck Ingolia, CEO at the National Council who told me he had already spoken to higher ups at the FCC about this and they had advised that SUD providers should indicate they are CMHC organizations on the application where it is relevant.
I have asked Chuck whether there is anything from the FCC in writing that confirms this advice. I will hear back from him very shortly but based on Chuck’s response I would not let this stop you from moving forward and gathering the materials you will need to have on hand to apply for these funds.
