Subject: CDPHP removing CVS pharmacies from network for Medicaid managed care and HARP

Please note that effective January 31, 2023, CDPHP is removing CVS pharmacies from its network for Medicaid managed care and HARP, meaning members will no longer be able to use CVS for their prescriptions. CDPHP is sending each affected member a letter instructing them on how to change pharmacies, but please instruct your programs that prescribe medications to send prescriptions for CDPHP members to a CDPHP network pharmacy and to talk to these individuals receiving services about going to a different pharmacy to pick up medications.  There is an override code CVS pharmacists can use if there is an emergency, if members are having trouble finding another pharmacy, or if members are having trouble getting a refill moved to another pharmacy.  Instructions on how to enter the override will be available in CDPHP’s electronic interface with CVS pharmacists.  Any questions may be directed to: omh-managed-care@omh.ny.gov
