 We wanted to provide clarification regarding the federal restriction associated with when a clinic site had to be established in order to be eligible to apply for participation in the CCBHC Demonstration Program:

• For an agency/clinic considering applying to participate in the federal CCBHC Demo Program here in NY for the first time, the April 1, 2014 restriction (related to when the clinic site for the proposed CCBHC was first established) is not applicable.  

• For an existing demo provider that is seeking to expand by providing CCBHC services outside of its current footprint/service area, the 2014 restriction would not apply to the proposed site of the new CCBHC.

• The 2014 restriction is only applicable to CCBHC satellite locations.
