Attached please find some interesting (though not surprising) findings from a recent Harris Poll commissioned by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing in which 750 mental health and substance use disorder employees across the country completed a 15 minute survey.  The research was designed to understand current experiences of those working in mental health and substance use disorder settings including current workloads, challenges, satisfaction, and future outlook.  The research also evaluated perceptions of the industry, among a general public audience.

It is my understanding that the National Council intends to release some of these findings very shortly.  I’m sure there will be more on this at the upcoming Nat Con conference next month in California.
