Today’s New York Nonprofit News First Read features the work of the NYS Council and our relentless pursuit of the recently enacted commercial insurance mandate. #NYSCouncilAdvocacyWorks!
Here’s a link to the story in today’s issue: https://www.nynmedia.com/personality/2024/06/fighting-make-sure-new-yorks-community-based-mental-health-providers-have-resources-they-need/397379/?oref=nyn-homepage-top-story
Note: The copy editing for this story isn’t great. There are a number of type-o’s, one in particular that concerns me. Instead of using the word ‘sentinel’ the reporter misquoted me as saying ‘fentanyl’ in the following sentence:
“…or waiting for people to have a fentanyl (sentinel) moment – those types of traditional interventions are really failing us now because of the lethality of today’s drugs. There needs to be an absolute swarming of resources statewide, and access to on-demand care.”
