We wanted to share the various documents related to the “IMD Transformation” proposal that SDOH has put forth for a 30 day comment period before the state seeks approval from CMS to permit Medicaid to pay for more residential and inpatient care for those needing mental health and substance use disorder care.
Note: See the Full Public Notice linked below. A Public Comment period is now underway, end COB on 11/4. There will be two (virtual) public hearings on October 26th and 31st during which the public may provide oral comments. The NYS Council will submit comments on behalf of our members based on a discussion of the proposed reform during our next weekly NYS Council Member Support and Public Policy meeting coming up on Thursday October 20 at 9:15 a.m.
