New York Nonprofit Media spoke with Jessica Greenawalt, co-founder and executive director of The Arthur Project about her path to co-create an innovative model that destigmatizes youth’s access to critical mental health services. Utilizing social work students as therapeutic mentors, The Arthur Project also serves as a training institute for culturally responsive social workers who are equipped to meet the evolving needs of New York City residents. Greenawalt – a licensed clinical social worker who holds a doctorate in sociology and social work – talks about her path to The Arthur Project, and what’s in store for the program in the coming years.
