About 10 days ago I got myself invited to a meeting hosted by DoH leaders that brought together some associations/coalitions that represent rural healthcare providers.  After the meeting, the NYS Council quickly brought our members together to identify projects we could put forward for funding that advance our mission to protect, preserve and increase access to care for the New Yorkers we serve. The state believes it can access about $100M/year for 5 years from this Initiative.  The application to CMS is due in November and so DoH is moving fast. We matched their pace.

Attached please find our recommendations for projects the state should develop and include in its application for RHTP funds. We hope you are pleased with the proposals we included that align with our laser focus on preserving and expanding access to care for all New Yorkers and in this case for New Yorkers living in rural areas of the state, and the providers that serve them.
