During last week’s Thursday morning NYS Council Public Policy and Member Support call, we looked at a document I have been using during our meetings with lawmakers where we make several requests and discuss our positions regarding various proposals,  Attached, please find the document we reviewed together on Thursday morning.

Note that it has two sections:

1) First section: Three requests from the NYS Council to lawmakers, to add or amend several executive budget proposals (COLA proposal, Network Adequacy proposal)

2) Second section:  Executive budget proposals we support (not an exhaustive list), and one proposal we oppose.

Also attached is the actual language of the current Network Adequacy proposal (in the Governor’s budget) that includes the changes we want.  If our changes are enacted as written, commercial insurers would be required to reimburse providers for all in network and out of network services at the Medicaid government rate.
