Earlier this week we sent a group of Notices that appeared in this week’s State Register, to all NYS Council members (sent on 10/26 at 12;12 pm). One of the Notices seemed as if it might be changing masking requirements in OMH settings. We were unsure of our ‘read’ and the implications of the Notice, so we inquired with OMH.
It turns out that the Notice in the State Register reflects that the Emergency Regs Part 566 have ended. However, the Infection Control guidance released on 9/16/22 remains in effect, and masking mandates are in effect, consistent with CDC and DOH guidance, for clinics, inpatient units, RTFs, and CPEPs. See attached for the relevant guidance documents.
