Later today a radio interview I taped yesterday with David Lombardo, host of the Capitol Pressroom will air on stations across the state. Topics discussed include our recently released Telehealth White Paper and our continuing advocacy efforts to make permanent many of the flexibilities the state has granted behavioral health care providers during the COVID-19 crisis. We also discussed the near certain impact of recently announced state aid cuts to mental health and substance use disorder/addiction community-based programs and services. Capitol Pressroom airs at 11:00 a.m. weekdays in the Albany area however the broadcast is accessible via a variety of alternative media options. Tonight I will appear on Capital Tonight, a highly regarded SPECTRUM1 political affairs show hosted by Susan Arbetter. Capital Tonight is ‘required viewing’ for state leaders, lawmakers and other decision makers who follow state politics and policy. The show airs at 7:00 pm weeknights in the Capital District. We will send you a link to the interview when it becomes available.
