As you may recall, on December 20, 2023, the New York State Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare sent a letter to OMH Commissioner Sullivan and OASAS Commissioner Cunningham requesting immediate regulatory relief and concrete provider education related to recent Scope of Practice changes that impact our workforce and our services.  The letter is attached for your convenience.

This morning I received a response (attached) to our December 20 letter.

The New York State Council will now redouble our efforts to secure solutions to the myriad issues facing our members as they navigate the murky waters surrounding recent scope of practice changes.
