The Behavioral Health Services Advisory Council (BHASC) will be meeting today in Albany for their regularly scheduled quarterly meeting.

BHASC meetings include a review of various DRAFT OASAS and OMH regulations of interest to system stakeholders.  Today, BHASC will review a DRAFT document proposing regulations (DRAFT Part 600-1) for the NYS CCBHC Demo Program (see attached).   This is one of a number of promised documents being worked on by state agency leaders in anticipation of a state SPA NYS will soon file with CMS seeking approval to move the current group of Demo services into the state’s Medicaid Plan as the federal statute that authorized the FEDERAL demo expires at the end of this month.  Note:  I have not had a chance to review the draft regs yet.  We will convene a meeting of Demo agencies to review and prepare comments for the state.

The NYS Council is establishing 2 new listservs for our members that operate CCBHC Demo services:

1) NYS CCBHC Demo cohort #1 (start date 2017-2018)

2) NYS CCBHC Demo cohorts 2 & 3 ( start dates 2024 or 2025)

If you would like to be added to either of the listservs we are hosting to foster and improve communication and information sharing between NYS Council Demo agencies, please send your email address to:  cindy@nyscouncil.org and we will add you to the appropriate listserv.  Please indicate which cohort your Demo Program is in.
