OASAS providers — just making sure you’ve seen this.

One doc attached.

Dear SUD treatment providers,

On behalf of the Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), I am writing to encourage your participation in the ATLAS® Treatment Facility Survey recently sent to treatment facilities across the state. Information collected via this survey is used to populate the ATLAS website, TreatmentATLAS.org, so that patients, family members, referral sources, and other providers can have the most up-to-date information when searching for treatment. At this time more than two thirds of certified SUD treatment facilities across the state have submitted the ATLAS survey – join them to ensure your ATLAS profile is up to date!

OASAS is committed to improving the quality of the addiction treatment system in New York, and is leveraging systems improvement and data transparency in order to do so. ATLAS (Addiction Treatment Locator, Assessment, and Standards platform) directly aligns with this work by supporting evidence-based best practices and ongoing quality improvement across addiction treatment settings.

As a reminder, ATLAS data must be updated regularly to ensure the information shared with patients and other providers is accurate. Facilities that completed the ATLAS facility survey prior to 2021 will need to submit a survey between now and December 30, 2022. Facilities that do not complete the survey will still be listed on ATLAS but with an indication that quality data are not available.

We strongly encourage SUD treatment providers to participate in the ATLAS Treatment Facility Survey and make information about their facility available to the more than 40,000 New Yorkers who visit ATLAS annually. Doing so demonstrates your facility’s commitment to quality, transparency, and ongoing improvement, and provides the public with current information they can use to locate quality SUD treatment close to home.

If you have not received a link to your facility’s ATLAS survey or have questions regarding ATLAS and the ATLAS enrollment process, please contact BK McDonough at bmcdonough@shatterproof.org or (610) 781-4367.

Sincerely,

Pat Lincourt Associate Commissioner

New York State Office of Addiction Services and Support
