OMIG Audit Reform — MOVE THE ASSEMBLY!

February 7, 2024

All,

We have an update from Assemblymember Paulin’s office re: Assembly representatives that have (to this point) signed on to her budget letter to Speaker Heastie, in support of  OMIG audit reform.

We need everyone with an Assemblymember that is NOT currently signed on to the letter (see list below) to do so immediately.   PLEASE CALL YOUR ELECTED LEADER AND REQUEST THAT HE SIGN ON TO ASSEMBLYWOMAN PAULIN’S LETTER TODAY.

Signed on thus far:

McDonald
Steck
Gunther
Seawright
SillittiEpsteinPaulin

HERE’S THE MESSAGE:
Thank you for being a champion for community-based mental health and addiction providers.

Assemblymember Paulin recently circulated the attached budget sign on letter calling for the inclusion of OMIG audit reforms  in the Assembly one-house budget bill given the urgency and challenges with the Governor previously vetoing similar legislation.

We respectfully ask for your support by signing onto this important letter.  Signatures are due by 2/12 to Rachel Morris at: morrisr@nyassembly.gov

Thank you.  I will call you back tomorrow to ensure you were able to sign on to the letter.
