Below please find a group of PowerPoint slides used during a discussion I participated in this afternoon hosted by Medicaid Matters NY and featuring federal health law expert Jennifer Lav, Senior Staff Attorney at the National Health Law Program. The presentation and discussion focused Medicaid advocates on the future of the (federal) Medicaid Program under the incoming Trump Administration, draconian proposals we are likely to see in the months to come, and procedural tools the new Congress has at its disposal to move the Trump agenda that includes gutting the Medicaid Program as a way to pay for massive tax cuts promised to the wealthiest Americans and largest (and most profitable) corporations in the country.  

 Slide 4 gets into the various proposals we could see in the days ahead designed to fundamentally alter eligibility rules, funding to state, etc.
