The negative consequences associated with potential Medicaid cuts on the health of children and their families cannot be overstated. A link to a new Report by The Commonwealth Fund is pasted below. There is a chart at the end of the Report that is quite illuminating. It calculates the total decrease in funding for this population for every $1.00 in reduced state spending for the same. The impact on access and on safety net providers most often used by Medicaid beneficiaries is devastating.
