Here is the link to a recording from the National Council’s recent CCBHC Behavioral Health Commissioners’ Summit where McKinsey presented data on how states can best prepare for 2021: thenationalcouncil-org.zoom.us/rec/share/.
The event was largely focused on how CCBHCs can be a critical resource now and into the future given the types of mental health and substance use disorders challenges we will be facing in the not too distant future, and the anticipated increase in the numbers of Americans needing care.
At the 07:52 mark of the video there is an interesting presentation from McKinsey with some useful data that will be of particular interest to agencies/networks trying to plan for the future needs of your community/region. One of the presenters, Kana Enomoto recently departed from HHS where she previously served in several roles including SAMHSA Administrator during the second Obama Administration. NYS Council members may recall that Ms. Enomoto was the 2018 NYS Council Featured Speaker at our Annual Business Meeting in 2017. The National Council advises that if you want a file of a particular slide, you should write to Brett Beckerson at: BrettB@NationalCouncil.org
Also, CDC has state-by-state survey data on depression and anxiety that is updated twice a month: Mental Health – Household Pulse Survey – COVID-19
