NYS Council members,
As you know, the DOH recently issued a proposed regulation that would mandate a vaccine or test requirement for some DOH licensed / regulated programs (hospitals, nursing homes and other long-term care facilities) by the end of September.
Below is an amendment to the DOH proposed regulation that would omit the religious exemption currently included in the regulation. The state’s Public Health and Health Planning Council will take up the proposed regulation and any amendments to it today.
It is our understanding there will be additional amendments discussed today to include one that would expand the breadth of the DOH mandate to include D&TC’s, including FQHCS, with an implementation date of October 7.
