Second Send: Important Resources for NYS Council Members

The NYS Council recently hosted two ‘Members Only’ Webinars on 5/15 and 5/23.  The Webinars were designed to assist our members as they navigate uncharted waters associated with the final outcomes (yet to be determined) of the federal Budget Reconciliation process.  A recording of both Webinars is embedded on our Website where you can also review the slides that accompanied the presentations.  Our Website is here:  www.nyscouncil.org.  The Webinars are in the  ‘Events” section of our site, and specifically, at the  ‘Archived Events’ tab.   You will need a UserID and Password in order to access this area of our Website.   Contact Cindy Levernois for Website credentials:  cindy@nyscouncil.org

Starting next week, the NYS Council will be hosting a series of 6 technical assistance webinars for our members where HMA consultants will assist with the tasks HMA recommends you perform in order to understand your risk in various scenarios as discussed during the 5/23 webinar.   We remain committed to assisting our members in every way possible as you navigate uncertainty, and we know your time is valuable.  As such, please see the attached Excel spreadsheet we commissioned from HMA.  The spreadsheet is pre-programmed and ready for you to input data.  Since every agency is different, the spreadsheet is customizable, allowing you to add specific information based on your current continuum of services and accompanying funding streams.  We ask that you please refrain from sharing the tool with other agencies.  This is a NYS Council Members Only deliverable.  

If your agency has not yet paid NYS Council 2025 Membership Dues and you wish to renew your membership, please contact Cindy Levernois as soon as possible at: cindy@nyscouncil.org.  We will be limiting access to the upcoming technical assistance webinars to only those agencies that are in good standing or have made arrangements to make a payment towards your 2025 annual dues.  If you want to check on your membership status as of June 1, feel free to contact Cindy at:  cindy@nyscouncil.org.  If you would prefer to speak to me directly, I’m always available to you at (518) 461-8200.  Note:  We recognize that some of our NYC-based member agencies pay dues on a different schedule than the rest of the state.  If you ordinarily pay NYS Council dues on July 1, we ask that you please make payment by this date.

We hope you found the Webinars with HMA consultants on 5/15 and 5/23 to be helpful, and that you have had a chance to review the ‘Members Only’ section of our site where we have stored the recordings and slide decks.  We encourage you to begin gathering the information you will need to analyze your risk so we can all discuss next steps and learn from one another during upcoming events.  I know you will agree that we can all benefit from the dialogue, the expertise HMA brings to the table, and the opportunity to share tactics and strategies for how to protect your agency going forward.
