Several weeks ago, we shared an advanced copy of the SED Scope of Practice Regulations the Department intended to post in the NY State Register as an Emergency Rulemaking.

Today, the Register includes the SED Emergency Rule, effective 7/22.  See pages 10-13 here: https://dos.ny.gov/system/files/documents/2022/07/072722.pdf

We continue to receive questions from members re: the document (linked above) and we are waiting for SED to identify an individual/individuals there who can answer questions.  

As for the OMH and OASAS Guidance pertaining to the bill signed into law in June (see attached), the state agencies intend to issue regular FAQs to respond to provider questions pertaining to the new law and OMH and OASAS Programs and Services.  We have submitted a handful of questions to OMH and are waiting for a response to most of them.  Some need to be re-directed to SED.
