As promised during the call this morning, we have updated the letter you can send to your NYS Assembly and Senate representatives regarding the absolute necessity of including a 7.8% Targeted Inflationary Increase in the final state budget agreement.  We urge you to take this opportunity to generate lots of letters and to continue to do so until we know the budget is closed down.  As of today lawmakers are still negotiating but the resources available to legislative budget committees to get us from the 2.1% the Governor pledged in her executive budget proposal, to 7.8%, are in high demand and scarce.  It is critical that we secure a 7.8% investment to ensure provider viability and a workforce that can meet current demands for care.
