The NYS Council has been collaborating with ten statewide mental health and substance use disorder associations/coalitions that are working together to compel Governor Hochul to include a 2.7% Targeted Inflationary Increase (TII) for OASAS and OMH providers in her upcoming executive budget proposal. Our group sent a letter of concern to the Governor, DoB, OMH and OASAS in early fall, held a successful press conference in October at the Capitol, and provided testimony at OHM’s recent Town Hall Meeting last week.
To further our advocacy efforts, we ask that all NYS Council members sign on to the attached letter (included in the Google form – see link below) no later than 12:00 on December 19th. Our collective voice is powerful and we need to show broad support for this essential investment.
