Last night, I sent you an email requesting that today you take a moment and send a letter to Governor Hochul re: our critical need for an 8.5% COLA and $500M to increase rates, to address the years when our sector did NOT receive a COLA.

As of now, stakeholders from across NY have sent the Governor 1,795 letters!  That’s a great accomplishment, and I wanted to express my gratitude to each and every NYS Council member who sent a letter today.

The executive budget will be released on Wednesday.  No doubt I will be back to you shortly, asking for additional assistance.  But for today, it’s nice to know there’s an army out there, partnering with us every step of the way!
