On April 1, 2023, updated billing guidance for OMH-hosted IOS providers went into effect. The purpose of the updated billing guidance is to resolve payment challenges by providing MMCPs and OMH-hosted IOS providers with a separate set of rate codes which will differentiate the billing for primary care and behavioral health services. In addition, OMH established a separate set of rate codes which will identify off-site services and pay the enhanced rate for behavioral health services provided by OMH-hosted IOS clinics. This updated guidance is applicable for both Medicaid Fee-for-Service and Managed Care.
